The Bennett Wellness Center is a facility that will benefit the Med Park development by providing a wellness amenity that is unlike any other in the Fargo-Moorhead community. Providing all aspects of wellbeing to members of the wellness environment, the facility offers classes of all types. Ranging from nutrition, mind, and body classes, the space ensures that members of both the wellness center and the cancer center are in good mind and health. The space is designed to provide a spot for everyone ranging from young to old to create a range of comfort for the users. To design the space adequately, the designer looked to research and the WELL Building Standards. These standards focus on providing a structure that centers around the wellness and the wellbeing of the individuals in the environment. With these standards acknowledged by the designer, this will guard the environment to be enjoyable by every user who uses the space.
Inside the Bennett Wellness Center, the designer will provide a minimalistic design focused around black and grey tones. Pops of color will be included throughout the interior environment. These pops of color will stand out against the monotone palette. Use of different wallcoverings, textures, and upholsteries with large scales and patterns will give the space interest and sophistication. Creative solution in the wall treatments, upholsteries, and flooring will serve as positive distractions to the users. Along with comfortable seating options, the space will have different forms of seating to provide a clear variety to the users. Overall, the Bennett Wellness Center will provide a positive solution that caters towards the emotional, physical, social, and environmental health. Every user that enters this space will leave feeling rejuvenated, refreshed, and care for.
