I am an Interior Designer and Architecture student that is from Grand Forks, North Dakota (ND) attending school for my Master of Architecture at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York (NY). I attended North Dakota State University (NDSU) in Fargo, ND for my Bachelor of Science in Interior Design (2021). I graduated from NDSU with honors, cum laude.

My passion for Interior Design and Architecture began when I was young. Admiring beautiful structures that filled the cities that I would visit, I knew that the design industry is what I wanted to be apart of in my professional career.

Surrounded by various forms of art while growing up such as: Musical Theatre, various musical instruments, visual art, etc. These different forms of art created an outlet for my imagination to soar to new heights that could not be found anywhere else.

In the course of my journey at NDSU I continued the immersion of arts into my lifestyle. With my course requirements, I pushed myself to study piano, audition and perform in the university musicals, dance in “The Classic Nutcracker” with the FM Ballet, and design projects for various assignments. The amount of knowledge that I have gained from my wonderful professors and peers has prepared me for a career and profession in Interior Design. As I start this next chapter of my life at Pratt Institute, I am eager to continue my immersion of art and design into my lifestyle.

You are driven by your heart, you’re driven by your talent, and you’re driven by your instinct and if you start to question and look at what people are doing to the left of you or to the right of you, you are going to lose that clarity of thought. Listen to the information, at the end it has to come from who you are. Own your decisions and own who you are, but without apology.
