When you enter the Bennett Cancer Facility you will be greeted by a palette that evokes the feelings of nature, comfort, and relaxation. The space will draw you in one of two ways. On the left will be a cozy waiting area surrounded in books. This area gives the feeling of comfort through familiar items and the sense of knowledge. To the right you will enter a waiting room that utilizes positive distraction for the children coming for treatment. The playroom will be in eyesight of the adult seating area, but it will feel like the children are entering their own world. At the center of the entry will be a reception desk that will the source of information for incoming and outgoing patients. When coming to the clinic for a checkup you will be greeted and walked to the exam rooms through the onstage hallway. This separation of spaces will reduce the noise and bustling of people and increase the calm feeling intended for this space. When coming to the clinic for cancer treatments you will be greeted and brought to your infusion bays. There will be access to natural light and a proximity to lounge spaces for family members. The bays will utilize a balance of both cool and warm color tones. This will help to bring life to the space that can easily feel dull. A positive experience in a health care facility is essential to a quick and happy recovery. Throughout the space the users will encounter and interior environment that has positively impacted their physical and emotional health
